These Terms and Conditions apply to all photography and video production services provided by Snø & Storm Media Oy (Business ID: 3573510-3), unless otherwise agreed in writing.
 

1. BOOKING AND BINDING AGREEMENT

A booking becomes binding once the agreed booking fee has been paid.

The booking fee is generally non-refundable if the client cancels the booking. An exception may be made in case of illness or other force majeure circumstances.

2. CANCELLATION POLICY

​

Standard sessions:
If the session is cancelled less than 24 hours before the agreed time, Snø & Storm Media Oy has the right to charge 50% of the total agreed price.

Wedding photography:
If cancelled, 25% of the total agreed wedding photography price may be retained as a cancellation fee.

The booking fee is not refunded in case of cancellation unless otherwise agreed.

If the photographer must cancel due to illness or force majeure, all payments received will be refunded. The photographer is not liable for indirect damages.

3. PAYMENT TERMS

​

Invoices are due within 14 days from the invoice date unless otherwise agreed.

Late payments may be subject to interest in accordance with Finnish law.

Snø & Storm Media Oy reserves the right to withhold delivery of final materials until full payment has been received.

 

4. DELIVERY TIMES

​

Photography:

• Proof gallery: usually available within 1 week after the session.

• Final edited images: delivered typically within 1–2 weeks after the client selects images.

• During high season (e.g. weddings): delivery may take 2–12 weeks.
   

Video production:

• Small social media videos: typically 1–2 weeks.

• Standard video projects: 3–6 weeks.

• Wedding videos: approximately 4 weeks to 3 months.

• Corporate/commercial videos: typically 4–8 weeks including planning, filming, editing and revision rounds.
   

Delivery times may vary depending on workload and project scope. Specific timelines may be agreed separately in writing.

5. RAW FILES

​

RAW image files are not included in standard deliveries.

If available, RAW files may be purchased separately at a price of 150 € per image unless otherwise agreed.

 

6. COPYRIGHT AND USAGE RIGHTS

​

All intellectual property rights remain with Snø & Storm Media Oy.

The client receives a non-exclusive usage license for the agreed purpose. Usage rights do not include resale, sublicensing, or alteration beyond agreed scope unless otherwise specified.

Additional usage beyond the original agreement may require an additional fee.

7. PORTFOLIO AND SELF-PROMOTION

​

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Snø & Storm Media Oy reserves the right to use produced material for self-promotion, including website, social media, portfolio, competitions, publications, and marketing.

Confidential corporate material will not be published without permission.

If the client wishes to restrict portfolio use, this must be agreed in writing before final delivery.

8. MODEL RELEASE AND PERMISSIONS

​

The client is responsible for ensuring that necessary permissions have been obtained from individuals appearing in the material, unless otherwise agreed.

For public events, participants are responsible for their own appearance in accordance with applicable Finnish law.

 

9. EVENT PHOTOGRAPHY

​

For events, Snø & Storm Media Oy cannot guarantee specific moments or individuals unless explicitly agreed in writing. The client is responsible for informing participants that photography or video recording will take place.

 

10. SUBCONTRACTING AND MEDIA ASSIGNMENTS

​

Snø & Storm Media Oy may perform assignments as a subcontractor for newspapers or other media outlets.

In such cases, rights and usage terms may be governed by the commissioning media organization’s agreement.

 

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

​

Snø & Storm Media Oy is not liable for circumstances beyond reasonable control (force majeure), including illness, accidents, equipment failure, extreme weather, or venue restrictions.

In case of total technical failure, liability is limited to refunding payments received.

Snø & Storm Media Oy is not responsible for indirect or consequential damages.

 

12. ARCHIVING

​

Delivered material may be archived. However, long-term storage is not guaranteed unless separately agreed.

Clients are responsible for backing up delivered files.

 

13. APPLICABLE LAW

​

These Terms are governed by Finnish law.

Any disputes shall primarily be resolved through negotiation. If unresolved, disputes shall be handled in the District Court of Helsinki.
